The Distinguished Faculty & Staff Postdoc Mentoring Awards recognize faculty and staff on the UW–Madison campus that contribute their time, knowledge, energy, and enthusiasm to mentoring and advancing postdocs in their research groups.
Mentors must be nominated by current or former UW–Madison postdocs.
Nomination letters (2 page maximum) should provide specific details as to why the nominee is deserving of the award. It is important that you address the specific criteria listed in the provided rubric (here), as it will be used to judge nominations.
The deadline for submission is Friday, April 10, at 11:59 pm CST.
Nominees of the 2026 UW–Madison Postdoc Excellence Awards and the UW–Madison Distinguished Faculty & Staff Postdoc Mentoring Awards will be recognized at the Celebration of Postdoc Excellence on Friday, May 22nd, 2026 at the Memorial Union. This event is open to all UW–Madison postdocs, their families, mentors, and research group friends.
